Erica
De la O
Pilates
Instructor
Erica
De La O, was born in Los Angeles, California. She was first
introduced to the Pilates Method by her classical ballet
instructors. The Pilates method was a vehicle for strengthening,
stabilizing, increasing flexibility, injury prevention and
most importantly, body awareness.
Ericas
interest grew and she trained with Rael Isocowitz intensively
in a six month program and a six month internship. Although
Erica has used The Pilates Method as a vehicle to benefit
her own career as a ballet dancer, her forte as a Pilates
instructor focuses on the non-dancer. Erica is also certified
in Gyrotonics ® and she incorporates the rich virtues
of this method to benefit each session.
Erica
brings to Fitness on Frankfort over 10 years of experience
in both Mat and Apparatus Pilates Method. A session will
complete a full body work out from head to toe with an emphasis
on the individuals goal and capabilities. Currently,
Erica is a First Soloist with the professional ballet company
of Kentucky, The Louisville Ballet, but at Fitness in Frankfort
her goal is to teach others wellness and body awareness
as a way of life.

Sylvester Davis
Hey
everybody, my name is Sylvester Davis. I graduated from
the University of Louisville in 2005 with my degree in Exercise
Science and Sports Medicine. I work at the Ford Kentucky
Truck Plant Wellness Center as an Exercise Specialist for
Swimmer Wellness Services, Inc.
In addition
to my position at the Ford Truck Plant, I am an Intern with
the University of Louisville Football Team working as a
Strength and Conditioning Coach.
My passion
for fitness and strength training began in Middle School
when my Dad purchased my first weight set. When I was in
High School, I played football and participated in power
lifting events throughout the State. I was also part of
the Health and Fitness Magnet Program at Fern Creek Traditional
High School. I then pursued my Bachelors of Science Degree
in the area of Exercise Science.
Over
the years I have had the opportunity to learn and work with
many excellent coaches and trainers. Id like to share
with you my education, skills and experiences to help you
reach your goals.
When
I am not working, I enjoy outdoor activities, hanging out
with friends, and playing video games. This picture of me
was taken on top of a mountain in Snow Bird, Utah.
Sylvester
has the potential to be one of my best all-time trainers
on staff. He will coach you for sixty minutes, complete
with core and stretching exercises throughout. Jody

Kyla
James, M.S., Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology
Exercise
and fitness has played a major role in most of my life beginning
with cheerleading and progressing to running and weight
training as an adult. It was primarily my love of running
that lead me to pursue a M.S. in Exercise Physiology. I
did not begin distance running until adulthood, and I was
excited to finish my first mini-marathon at the age of 24
despite the lifelong perception that I was not a distance
runner. My wish is for others to experience the same type
of self-discovery.
Employment
with Swimmers Wellness Services, Inc. has given me experience
at Fitness on Frankfort in addition to our corporate sites,
Kentucky Trunk Plant and Bakery Chef. I have found satisfaction
on a variety of levels whether it is seeing the sedentary
person discover the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle;
or helping the regular exerciser reach a new level of fitness.
I firmly believe that there is innate athleticism in everyone.
The body is a pliable machine that is adaptable with proper
training. As a personal trainer, I look forward to helping
you develop your unique gifts regardless of your age or
perceived ability level. Based upon your needs and goals,
I can develop a custom workout. This may involve a traditional
full-body workout or specialized abdominal or cardiovascular
workout. Whatever the scenario, we will work as a team.

Jennifer
Kidd
B.S. in Exercise Physiology
I am
so very excited to be a part of the team at Fitness on Frankfort.
I am currently working towards my Masters in Exercise Physiology
at the University of Louisville. I plan to take my ACSM
exams shortly after finishing my graduate program.
Outside
of work and school I am a volleyball coach and play in adult
leagues two nights a week, or as much as time allows, despite
a number of injuries over the years. These injuries have
driven me to a unique interest in rehabilitation and physical
therapy with regard to knees. My last and possibly most
rewarding experience so far has been working as an exercise
specialist at a cardiac rehab center this past year.
I love
helping anyone and everyone I can to become the best version
of themselves. I hope to be a positive influence on those
around me and look forward to working with everyone.

Kara Price
Kara
Price is originally from Evansville, IN and is excited to
come back to the area with her husband to be closer to family
and to share her three passions: dancing, Pilates and yoga.
A professional dancer for more than 15 years, Kara has lived
in both Chicago and NYC. Through her love of dancing, Kara
also discovered Pilates. Thanks to her dance background
and the flexibility it developed, Pilates came fairly easily
to her. However, through teaching Pilates Kara found that
its benefits are applicable to any and all people - whether
healthy, injured, young, old, big or small - Pilates is
an exercise technique that anyon e
can master.
While
living in Chicago, a fellow Pilates teacher urged Kara to
try a level 2/3 Ashtanga class! Needless to say she felt
she was thrown into the ocean and then told to swim; and
swim she did! By the end of class she knew yoga was something
she wanted to explore more deeply. With 8 years of teaching
Pilates under her belt, she researched yoga teacher training
programs and continued her yoga journey in OM yoga's Joining
Heaven and Earth teacher training program in NYC. Whether
Pilates or Yoga - Kara's classes focus on alignment, breath
and a sense of smile. Let Kara's lighthearted approach take
you somewhere you have never been-physically, mentally,
spiritually - into love and light.

Rachelle
Seger
I am
pleased to be a part of the Fitness on Frankfort team. I
hold BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology. I also work
at the University of Louisville's Kentucky Cancer Program
in community cancer education and smoking cessation.
I recently
completed my 11th marathon. For three marathons, I raised
funds and trained with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's
Team in Training. It is fun and challenging to prepare for
race day--be it a 5K or a marathon. I look forward to encouraging
you to reach your fitness goals and listening to the mile-by-mile
recap of your races.
